Club Routines
At Foxy Club, our daily routine blends fun, structure, and flexibility. With a mix of free play and planned activities, kids stay engaged, happy, and settled—whether it’s after school or during the holidays.
After School Routine (3:00PM - 5:30PM)
14:46 - 15:00 - Welcome and Free Play:
Children are welcomed by the staff into Foxy Club. Children are registered by play workers and invited to choose their free play activities (Indoor).
15:00 - 16:00 - Focus Activities Begin:
Children are gathered together to discuss with the play workers what activities they would like to do as per the theme of the day. They decide as ‘play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated.
16:00 - 16:30 - Snack Time:
Children are taken to the dining hall to have toast/fruit/squash/water and milk. Children are encouraged to help prepare snacks and tidy up.
16:30 - 17:30 - Focus Activities Begin:
Children are gathered by the play workers to discuss and plan their activities to include role play, construction, arts and craft, cooking, reading, gaming, music and outdoor activities. They are encouraged to play as part of a team, pair or independently. The prime focus and essence of the play worker is to support and facilitate the play process … (through)…the play policy, strategy, training and education.
Children are encouraged to play outdoors in team activities.
(Weather permitting or indoor for story time / quiet play).

Holiday Club Routine (8:30AM - 5:30PM)
08:30 - 10:00 - Welcome and Free Play:
Children are welcomed by the staff into Foxy Club. Children are registered by parents and invited to choose their free play activities (Indoor). These include arts and crafts, dramatic play (dress up and den-making), physical play with soft toys and boards games, imaginative play (garages, dolls house, character toys like Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam, WWF wrestling figures and monster high), interactive games (loom bands, Hama beads, mechanics, kinex, jigsaws and Lego) and also we have 2 X-boxes, 2 Wii and a play station with a varied selection of games aged appropriate from 3-14 years.
10:00 - 10:30 - Snack Time:
All children are taken to the dining hall to have toast /fruit and /water/milk. Children are encouraged to help prepare snacks and tidy up.
10:30 - 12:30 - Focus Activities Begin:
Children are gathered together to discuss with the Play Workers what activities they would like to do as per the theme of the day. They decide as ‘play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated.
12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch:
Children are taken to the dining hall to have lunch provided by parents. Children are then encouraged to help tidy up.
13:30 - 15.30 - Focus Activities Begin:
Children are gathered by the Play Workers to discuss and plan their activities to include role play, construction, arts and craft, cooking, reading, gaming, music and other indoor activities. They are encouraged to play as part of a team, pair or independently. During the warmer, drier weather, children engage in outdoor play and will often make use of the community park. Staff escort the children on at least a ratio of 1-8 for children aged 4-7 years and children aged 8-14 years on a ratio of 1-10. Children are also encouraged to take part in local community events in the library. In the past, these have been run by South Wales Police and Local Fire Safety Team.
15:30 - 16:00 - Snack Time:
Children are taken to the dining hall to have fruit /water/milk or food prepared during activities. Children are encouraged to help prepare snacks and tidy up.
16:00 - 17:30 - Outdoor Play:
Children are encouraged to play outdoors in team activities. (Weather permitting) or indoor for story time / quiet play.
